Here is a basic list of the things I hope we will be doing during the winter break of 2005 in New York. What we plan to doThis year, like all years, we will meet Taro, a resident of the basement. He, as you can see below, spends most of his time in weird places such as by the staircase, or under the barrels. We have noticed that he has gotten less scared of us ever since we have stopped picking him up.
One of our favorite activities is going bike riding to the nearby town of Alloway, which we will most likely do again this year if the ground is not two icy. There, we usually cross the main road, NY Route 14, and stop on the bridge and take some photographs of the creek. It certainly would be more interesting if the creek was frozen, but there probably will be no chance of that, since I have never seen it frozen before, but who knows, maybe it will this year. Across the creek is a little bit of forest land where we like to go exploring. This year, I hope to see an animal. I know this is highly unlikely because of the cold, but maybe there is an animal that like the cold. In the little bit of forest, across an old bridge where the water is almost always frozen under it during the winter, we wander around and climb dead tree limbs. This year, I hope I will be able to find one almost at breaking point and convince my dad to go on it.
One of our more unusual activities is to build a gigantic snow pile in the backyard and climb on it until it gets smashed (usually on the fifth or sixth try).
Well, it had better be a good vacation, and my Dad had better have gotten me a good camera, or else someone's going to be grumpy the whole vacation (me). What we really didComing in January 2006 |
